The Leiblein GmbH is an owner-managed family business based in Hardheim connecting successful entrepreneurship with social, societal and environmentally friendly commitment. 1953
Foundation of the Otto Leiblein Fahrzeugbau companyIn 1953 Otto Leiblein, son of the self-employed master smith Josef Friedolin Leiblein, founded the Otto Leiblein vehicle construction manufacturing trailers and steel constructions. The company was initially located in Klingenweg 2 in Hardheim.
1988 - 1992
Foundation of the Leiblein company & moving to the new business premises
Junior director Dipl. Ing. Alex Leiblein took over the company in 1988. 23rd June 1988 marks the day the company is officially entered in the commercial register – since that day Otto Leiblein vehicle construction was Leiblein GmbH. The manufacturing of trailers was changed to plant- and apparatus production. After completion of the new factory building, the company moved to the industrial area „Tiefer Weg” in Hardheim. At that time Leiblein GmbH comprised 8 employees.
1995 - 1999
Expansion with a new painting, storage and production hallAfter a short period of time, the company expanded: In 1995 a painting and storage hall was build, followed in 1998 by a second and larger production hall. In 1999 a hall connecting the two existing halls was build and the painting hall was extended with a sandblasting section and a depot.
2003
New office building & solar plantIn the mid of 2003 the company moved into the new office builing. Meanwhile the number of employees increased to 70. Furthermore, the company continuously invested into internal processes from construction to sales to meet increasingly technical demands now and in the future. Since mid-May 2003 we contribute actively to limit the increasing air pollution. In corporation with the municipal utilities Buchen and MVV Mannheim we installed a solar collector with a capacity of 99 kW peak on the roofs of our production halls.
2007
Construction of another production hall
In 2007 the construction of an additional 2400 m² production hall solved the spatial problems that have arisen. Equipped with six overhead traveling cranes, each with a hook height of 10m and a overall lifting capacity of 70t, new machines as for example a 4m folding press and a plasma cutting unit for metal plates of up to 18 m² one is well equipped in the medium term.
2011 - 2013
Christian Leiblein und Cornelia Braun join the company
The succession is secured: In 2011, Christian Leiblein joins the family business. From now on, he leads the company together with Alex Leiblein. In 2013, Cornelia Braun follows her brother. She is responsible for the devisions accounting and HR.
2014 - 2015
New painting hall & purchase of a further warehouse
In 2014, a new painting hall was built. One year later, a neighbouring warehousel was purchased for further expansions.
2020
Investment in sustainable production
With the implementation of our own high-quality pickling line including wastewater treatment plant, the pickling of stainless steel components was integrated into the internal production process in the fall of 2020. In the same year, a modern new welding robot system with a load capacity of 10 t was also put into use in manufacturing. The two investments will enable the company to produce even more flexibly and independently in the future and will strengthen its performance.
2021
Expansion of the solar plant
In cooperation with E.ON Energie Deutschland GmbH, a further photovoltaic system was installed on the remaining "empty" roof of the 2,400 m² production hall in May 2021: 901 solar modules with a respective output of up to 330 Wp. The plant generates a maximum total output of 297.33 kWp.
Within the further development of our products we provide customized pilot plants. The data we gain on site or in our plant, and the cooperation with chemists, biologists and process engineers contribute to an improvement of our products as well as to the development of new procedures.
In order to find the appropriate products for our customers the process media are analysed to determine its specific features. Almost all components and plants of our product range are available for testing purposes e.g. Lamella Separators,Pressure Belt Filters, Continuous Vacuum Belt Filters, Automatic Gravity Filters and many more.
