Waste water treatment in a ceramics works

The different waste waters of the porcelain works are collected in a buffer basin. The basin is also used to homogenize the waste water.

The waste water is pumped into a flocculation tank and is mixed with flocculant. The used flocculant 'Sachtofloc 46.12' causes a good settleable floc. The flocculant pulls the fine particles together like a magnet and effects a bigger particle (floc) which is able to settle down better and faster than fine particles.

The flocculated waste water flows without turbulence into the Leiblein lamella separator. In the separator the flocced particles settle down into the sludge funnel. The purified water flows into the clear-water-basin to use it again or to dispose it.

The sludge is pumped into a sludge tank and is pressed by a filter press.
