Leiblein lamella separator for world-wide unique groundwater treatment plant

The Pranter-company delivered a turn-key treatment plant. One part of the plant are the Leiblein lamella separators.

Embedded in a beautiful landscape near the lake Lago Maggiore, in the southern alps, the treatment plant was built up.

The plant is designed for a flow rate of 850 m³/h (groundwater). The water is sucked off from 30 wells. It is contaminated with DDT, arsenic, chlorinated hydrocarbons, mercury and other pollutants.

The first step of the process is a chemical-physical treatment, the second step is sedimentation. The sedimentation is made by Leiblein lamella separators.
