Fine sand recovery by a lamella separator

Practical conditions:

At wet processing plant for sand a lot of washing water is needed. The water contain a big amount of fine sand.

The recovery of fine sand offers following advantages:

• reduction of treatment loss
• more deposit yield
• increasing sand production
• reduction of sludge from water treatment

function specification:

The washing water is polluted with fine sand and other dirt. It is pumped into a Leiblein lamella separator. The purification capacity of the plant is determined to separate only particles like fine sand and bigger. Smaller particles like clay and other dust remain in the water and leave the separator with the clear water.

The separated sand is collected in the sludge funnel and is pumped for further draining to a sieve / classifier.
