clean pipes - central plant in the right size

practical conditions:

A pipe manufacturer built a new production line. The pipes has to be cooled and cleaned with cooling lubricant (emulsion). The cleaning of the emulsion should carried out by a central plant.

At first a standard plant was planned, but after a view in site a special solution had to be developed:

At one hand the space for the plant was very narrow (l x w x h = 10 x 1.6 x 4.5 m) - on the other hand the flow capacity should be 70 m³/h. However the emulsion quality had to be guaranteed at a high level.

The solution:

The problem was solved from Leiblein company by the proved inclined lamella technique. The plant was placed directly behind the pipe manufacturing line.

All the necessary units (the waste water lifting pump, the lamella separator, the clear water tank, coalescence separator and inclined filter) had to be fit together in an optimal composition.

The concept of process and construction was convinced:

The sludge and the foreign oils can be removed efficient from the tanks. The sludge is drained by a Leiblein inclined filter and collected in a waste container. The foreign oils are skimmed continuously from the surface of the tanks. The oil is separated by a Leiblein coalescence separator.

The cooling aggregate prevents a constant temperature of the emulsion. Two alternately working system pumps convey the emulsion to the piping machines and ensure the necessary pressure.

The result:

Now the customer is able to produce pipes of high quality, because the Leiblein central plant delivers a clean and cool emulsion.
