pressure belt filter

pressure belt filter

description

The Leiblein-pressure belt filter is an automatical, intermittental working coolant filter. The main components of the filter are two waterproof connected chambers, which are divided through a perforated filter belt support. During filtration, two flaps seal the two slots, one at each end of the filter.

mode of function

filtration:

The liquid that is to be filtered is pressed through a manifold into the top filter chamber. It then flows through the filter cake, the filter belt and the stationary, perforated filter belt support. The clean-filtered liquid is extracted from the bottom filter chamber. Both slot flaps are closed during filtration.

regeneration:

On reaching a preselected filtering resistance, the automatic system interrupts the liquid feed and admits the compressed air into the top filter chamber. The compressed air presses the volume of liquid in the top chamber through the filter cake into the bottom chamber and subsequently dries the filter cake. When the compressed air is switched off, the filter chambers are vented. The two slot flaps open and clear the way for the filter belt and for the filter cake lying thereon. Then the filter belt is being replaced and a scraper plate cleans the filter. After a short time , the regeneration of the filter is completed.

The automatic system closes the slot and air outlets and opens the liquid feed. A new filtration phase begins.
